About the photography
Alex Hamilton is a British street and editorial photographer based in Madrid, drawn to light, colour, and the quiet romance of everyday city life.
His personal work is candid street photography made on foot across Madrid, London, Edinburgh, Milan, and Paris, looking for the unguarded moment rather than the posed one. Alongside it he shoots commissioned lifestyle and editorial projects, including brand campaign work for OPPO Mobile.
For several years Alex hosted a top-rated Edinburgh photo experience on Airbnb: a personalised, photographer-led walking shoot taking visitors through the Old Town, Stockbridge, and the Water of Leith. Guests came away with a gallery of fully retouched, high-resolution images of themselves in the city, captured in natural light. Over the years he photographed more than 100 individuals, couples, and families visiting from over 40 countries.
