About

British data journalist and photographer, based in Madrid.
Alex Hamilton runs Creo Insights, a data-storytelling studio, and produces analysis on how careers and the U.S. job market are changing. He tracks transitions, outcomes, and labour-market shifts using person-level data from 95M+ professional profiles. Through his work with Live Data Technologies, data he has produced has been cited by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Business Insider, and The Economist.
Previously he built Dealroom Deep Dives at Dealroom.co, a live-updating research product that reached 100K+ visitors, and began his economic-research career at the Financial Times on fDi Benchmark.
His photography documents the texture of city life: candid street work from Madrid, London, and across Europe, alongside commissioned lifestyle and editorial projects.
He also writes Mexidato, on Mexico’s economy and geopolitics, and publishes HumanCount, a newsletter tracking job-market and career transitions at population scale.
